Junket Operators!

A few days ago, I was having dinner at Mandarin Oriental with the big boss of one of the largest junket operators in Singapore-
Heng Heng

Mr. Lim B.H was the man behind the scene together with his partner Mr. Ben Neo. I respected both of them greatly because they were both extremely nice people with absolutely different characters. I knew them both for a period of time and had observed their throne to success! They were the casino VIPs but still-Humble and always willing to serve; To Please.

As a junket operator, you are basically doing the job like a VIP host in the casino but an External Entity; Agent
Reputable junket operators have extremely strong connections with wealthy players, business men, incredible network and people with strong financial background therefore casino marketing has to depend on these junket operators to bring in revenue for the house through their network. Junket operators have to serve and please these customers of theirs so that they can encourage them to go to the casinos they represent and earn commission from their rolling.

In turn, these junket operators are the casino VIPs customers as well! Casino Marketing(VIP Department) coordinates with these operators hand in hand for the benefits of both parties. Each junket operator will get a different commission structure from the casino based on the theoretical win of the casino; the potential loss of their customer.

It's definitely not easy being a junket operator because you need to have an extensive strong network of friends with very strong financial background and they have to be gamblers, also you need to have a very strong financial backing because you need to give credit to your customers when they check-in under you. Junket operators faces a lot of difficulties when their customers lost and not able to pay thus putting these operators in debts and in turn may also destroy their reputation with the casinos they represent.

Even when customers do not check-in with junket operators, they check-in with the house under International Marketing. Management executives in-house will also need to analyze and approve credits for all these in-house customers and make sure they are able to pay their debts if they lost thus credit facilities have to be approved with highest confidence.

Regardless whether if you are doing floor operations in dealing or whatsoever, do remember to build good relationship with customers because you never who they are.
