Rules, Rules, Rules! Procedures,Procedures,Procedures!
Regulations,Regulations,Regulations!
"Why can't you just cooperate?, Why can't you just follow?, Why can't you just listen?, Just do what is said, can you!?" exclaimed Alice
*(The most annoying shift manager ever)*
I hated it! I hated it so much because I love it! Yes! I hated this ‘industry’ so much because I love it! Contradicting? No! It's not!- Welcome to the casino industry!
Working in a highly regulated casino is similar to when you are ‘chasing’ after somebody in a relationship. You must first like the 'industry', make time to get to know more about the 'industry' and when you have finally landed with the 'industry', time will tell whether if that 'industry' is suitable for you but some people just ‘got married’ with the ‘industry’ and only to find out later that this ‘industry’ is not suitable for them at all! Some people took a day, some took longer but some just take forever to realise that they have actually landed with the wrong ‘industry’ Neverthelessly they still choose to stay with that ‘industry’ because they have already become so 'used' to it and thus forever struggling to hang on, whether or not to stay on and sadly, most people would think it's ‘better to play safe’ to avoid trouble and future headache of finding a better one. Reason being: They have already become numb to the 'rules and procedures' with that particular 'industry'
Life’s never perfect, the more you want to be with someone you cared about, the more you want people to love you, to recognize you, to respect you, to take good care of you, you must first learn to respect others even though you know they have made the wrong decision!
The casino business is all about people; is about Relationship! And a relationship have rules and procedures which we need to follow. But what if you do not agree with the rules and you hated it? Do you just say:" Fark off, I quit?"
Many times, We, humans like to set our own rules, we want things our way, we want to do things the way we want it but do you think we would still be able to make this 'relationship' work when you keep insisting on setting your own rules and procedures all the time?
There are a lot of faked up things and faked up rules in life we wish we could change, to make things better THE WAY WE WANT IT, we always wish we could turn back time but yet at the same time, we know without all these little stupid mistakes which we have made, we will never grow, never learnt and will never be better!
The moral of this blog?
We do not need to agree, but we need to know how to respect!
